Skylanders Spyro's Adventure: GameStop Sale

Hello Portal Masters,

Today just a short hint for the American readers:
GameStop has a sales on Skylanders at the moment in their online shop where you can get all single characters for 6,99 $, so you save approx. 30%.

In regards to Giants coming out, I would look out for the ones who will not get remodeled (please note: these are not officially confirmed yet, so it is a little guessing than knowing, because the pictures with all characters are so blurry):
- Dinorang
- Boomer
- Warnado
- Wham Shell
- Camo
- Voodood

If you did not get those yet, it might be a good chance to safe some money and have them ready for Giants!

Skylanders Giants: General Stuff

Hello Portal Masters,

I listened to the following Podcast, whích gives some more information about the new Skylanders Game.

They had an interview with one of the guys from Toys for Bob which leads to some new reveals:

1) NO new adventure packs: Ok, I have to say, I am a little sad, because the value of "just" a new battle pack seems lower than the new level, on the other hand, people who don't want to buy or cannot afford all the packs still get the "complete" game, so I will see that as a positive aspect.

2) Hot Head is Hot Head. Basially that just means that another of the amazon leak names is confirmed (Chill was the first one). This means, it is safe to assume that Flashwing, Sprocket and Fright Rider are also confirmed.

3) There will be a new in game called "Skylanders Stones" (if I got that correctly). I like in-game games, although the Skylanders Memory in one of the bonus levels was a little lame but we will see, maybe it will be cool (and extra content is never bad).

4) The Ghost World Mechanic will return! I liked that level A LOT (only wished the chef would not have explained it for ages. So I think that is a cool thing!

5) Hats will be buyable! That is a nice new idea, although I will spend my money on upgrading first and will see how much is left for the hats shop. 

[ 6) There will be more Sidekicks. Will probably not get the first ones, so that is unhappy news for me (or I have to buy them at ebay.... as if the collecting is not expensive enough]

Skylanders Giants: Battle Pack

Hello Portal Masters,

I was on holiday for week-end, so this news is a little late, but still:
Today I can show you a picture of the Skylanders Giants Battle Packs.

I already wrote a small bit about them, but now we get a first visual.

So, we get a good look at remodeled Chop Chop and Shroomboom (not the lightcore version) as well as the Golden Dragonfire Cannon, unlocking a special battle arena.

I am suprised that rumours are currently that this is a gamestop exclusive since it was one of the things posted on the amazon leaks. Although, the amazon leak just said "cannon piece" so maybe they get a non-golden version? Or, it will be gamesstop exclusive in the US and not in Europe.

Again, only time will tell...

But since Chill has been confirmed, I think the names from amazon can be regarded as right.
And I will call the Fire regular "Hot Dog", although this is just a name I read somewhere and liked a lot.

Skylanders Giants: Chill

Hello Portal Masters,

I am so happy to post this today!

It is some more about Chill! She was now "officially" revealed in Nintendo Power (oh, I sooo hope to see her in action soon!)

Catchphrase: Ice to see you!

Chill is the sworn guardian and personal protector of the snow queen. As captain of the queen's guard, her many heroic deeds earned her the respect of the entire ice kingdom. But when the cyclops army began to expand their empire into the northern realms, the snow queen was taken prisoner during her watch and chill has never forgiven herself for letting it happen. Ashamed and embarrassed, she left the ice kingdom behind and sworn never to return until she could reclaim her honor. Now as a member of the skylanders, she remains courageous and strong, while always on the lookout for her lost queen.

I like that story but I would really like if they would DO something with it!
Have an episode where you release the Ice Queen and if you have Chill get an extra seen!
Same with other characters...

When Nintendo Power revealed Swarm, there was a gameplay video soon after.

So I have my fingers crossed ;)
